PULL ME
Something was pulling me.
Something was pulling me hard and fast
Like gravity, bound to hit the surface.
Within my chest my heart was taken hostage,
And in my mind my thoughts were held in a net,
And my body and the intense heat it encapsulates
Found its way
To you.
And in that moment, as in every
Moment I meet your glance, or
Happen upon your beauty, or contemplate
The secrets you hide within,
I am grateful for this yank upon
My soul which holds me here
At gun point.
I cannot predict.
You may fire at any moment,
And cut me lose
And leave me scattered in pieces upon a
Reality which I was trying to create with you.
Oh my lovely,
Pull me in,
Keep pulling!
Untie me from self-deception and bind me up
To you.
Oh familiar friend,
I want to forever feel your strength.
And always be far from grieving your absence.
So I can gaze upon
(And love)
The intensity of your
Heart, that which pulls me
To you.
